Madison Capitols News Release

The Madison Capitols are proud to announce that Austin Burnevik and Will Felicio will play in the 2024 All-American Game in January. USA Hockey along with the USHL announced the rosters, today, for the 2024 Chipotle All-American Game, which is scheduled for 3 pm CT on January 15th at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.

Austin Burnevik enters the final weekend of the 2023 portion of this season's schedule in a three-way tie for the league lead in points with 31 and tied with Sioux City's Kaden Shahan for the league lead in goals with 18. The Ham Lake, Minnesota, native has been on a tear as of late with 19 points in the team's last ten games. That includes the being named the league's forward of the week twice.

Will Felicio will head to Michigan to play in the event after rejoining the Capitols this weekend after capturing a bronze medal at the World Junior A Challenge with Team USA before the holiday break. The 2022 Tender of the Capitols broke records in his first season in the USHL and has been touted as one of the highest rated prospects in the league this season by many outlets. The Denver commit also represented his country at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this summer.

Burnevik and Felicio become the first two Capitols to play in the event since 2022 when the team sent a trio of players to the event, Quinn Finley, Tyler Haskins, and Luke Mittelstadt. Other notable Capitols to previously play in the event include Carson Bantle, Ryan Edquist, Mick Messner, and Ryan O'Reilly. Although not with the Capitols last season, Austin Burnevik, Carsen Musser, and Nathan Tobey all participated in the event.

The game will take place in Michigan on January 15th at 3 pm CT and will be streamed on NHL Network.
