MISSOULA, MT - Enrique Burgos could arguably be the most improved pitcher on the Missoula Osprey staff, and his start on Sunday in front of 2,024 fans at Ogren Park Allegiance Field proved that point.

Burgos pitched five shutout innings, while Bobby Stone accounted for all of the Osprey offense as Missoula handed the Billings Mustangs a 2-1 loss for the second straight night, and swept the four-game series.

The Osprey (18-13) have won four straight games, the first time that has happened since Missoula won five in a row from August 29-September 3, 2006. The Osprey also remain one game in front of Great Falls in the Pioneer League's North Division. The Voyagers beat Helena on Sunday, 5-3.

With seven games left in the half, the Osprey will play two of them at home, this Monday and Tuesday against Helena, who is currently two games off the pace; and the final five on the road - two at Billings and three at Great Falls.

Burgos allowed four hits and three walks, but struck out five Mustang batters and left with a 2-0 lead. Burgos is now 2-0 in his last three starts, with a 3.07 ERA.

The Osprey were held to six hits for the second time in the last three games, but still managed to take advantage of their limited opportunities to score. Stone singled home a run in the bottom of the third, then hit a sacrifice fly to plate a tally in the home half of the fifth, staking the Osprey to a 2-0 lead.

Eury De La Rosa pitched 2 1/3 innings of effective relief, but allowed a run in the eighth on a Frank Pfister double. Bradin Hagens came on with runners on first and third and one out, and threw one pitch, which became a 6-3 double play to end the inning. Hagens then managed to induce another double play to end the game, and earn his fourth save in the process.

Keon Broxton singled and doubled for the Osprey, while David Narodowski and Ender Inciarte each singled and scored a run. David Nick added a base hit for Missoula.

The Osprey open a key two-game series with the Helena Brewers on Monday at Ogren Park Allegiance Field. On Family Night, they fans will be treated with a matchup on the mound which includes a pair of pitchers drafted in the top 50 picks in the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft. The Osprey will send out left-hander Mike Belfiore, the supplemental first-round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks, while the Brewers will send right-hander Eric Arnett, Milwaukee's first-round pick, to the hill.

Tickets for any remaining game this season can be obtained for all Osprey home games by calling the Osprey at (406) 543-3300, stopping by the Osprey Team Store at 412 W. Alder, or ordering online at www.missoulaosprey.com.
