Traverse City Beach Bums News Release
TRAVERSE CITY, MI - The Traverse City Beach Bums'(34-45) stranded nine men on base, getting runners into scoring position in six innings, but could not find the big hit, losing to the Washington Wild Things(39-40), 2-0.
The first three innings went scoreless but in the top of the fourth, with two outs, Jimmy Yezzo hit a solo home run over the right field wall. It was his eleventh long ball of the season and gave Washington a 1-0 lead. It took until the eighth but Washington was able to double their advantage. With one away, Austin Wobrock hit a single to left field. He then came in to score on an RBI triple to center by Andrew Heck.
Kramer Champlin suffers a hard luck loss, allowing just one run, on four hits, a walk, and he fanned six, in a very good seven innings of work. He falls to 4-6. Luke Wilkins wiggled his way through seven innings for the win improving to 3-6. He gave up five hits and four walks while striking out four, on his way to the victory. Andrew Woeck finished things off for the Wild Things, picking up the two inning save, as he allowed only one hit and struck out two. It's his fourth save of the season.
Tomorrow night, the Beach Bums head to All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio to start a three game set against the Lake Erie Crushers. Stetson Nelson will start for Lake Erie and Tucker Simpson gets the call for the Beach Bums First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm, and Tom Willms will have the call, starting with the Miller Lite pregame show, starting at 6:45pm, on 101.9-The Bay, and online at TCBeachBums.com.

The Beach Bums Box Office & Gift Shop are now open with non-gameday hours of 10am to 6pm Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm on Saturday. Wuerfel Park is closed on non-gameday Sundays. Stadium hours are extended on gamedays.
