Vermont Frost Heaves News Release

South Burlington, Vt.-Ian Duvernay, a.k.a. EN, a hip-hop producer and rap artist in the stable of Montpelier-based Halogen Records, has written original music for Bump the Moose, the Vermont Frost Heaves' mascot. The commissioned work includes both a theme and a rap and will be unveiled at halftime of the Frost Heaves' 4:05 p.m. matinee with the Strong Island Sound on Jan. 20.

"EN has come up with an infectious backbeat and included a real moose call," said Alexander Wolff, the Frost Heaves' president and G.M. "This is about as homegrown as Vermont hip-hop can get, and is sure to bring a smile to our players and fans alike."

Added Halogen president Justin Hoy: "We're delighted to continue our partnership with the Frost Heaves, which began in November with our Hip-Hop 'n' Hoopz event at Positive Pie II in Montpelier."

Tickets for the Frost Heaves' Jan. 20 game, the team's lone Burlington matinee of the season, may be purchased through the Flynn Regional Box Office at 159 Main Street in Burlington; at 153 Pearl Street in Essex; by calling 802-86-FLYNN; and by going to flynntix.org.
