THE SERIES: This represents the 11th and 12th meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi IceRays. The Bulls have a mark of 5-3-2 versus the IceRays this year, including 2-2-1 in their last five games. Forwards Tyler Deresky and TJ Sarcona have combined for 21 points. Sarcona, Gage Christianson and Ryan Cole have a total of 13 goals, together. Goaltenders Ben Myers and Hayden Stewart have shared the goaltending for the IceRays in the season series. Myers has three of the wins. Forward Emil Romig has four goals and eight points.

SOUTH DIVISION PLAYOFF UPDATE: The Corpus Christi IceRays are closing in on clinching the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division following back-to-back wins in Odessa on Tuesday and Wednesday. The IceRays have a six-point lead on the Wichita Falls Wildcats and each team has four games remaining. Meantime the Topeka RoadRunners lead the Texas Tornado by five points for home ice. Those two teams face one another three consecutive times this weekend at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena.

OVERALL UPDATE: The Amarillo Bulls have a five-point lead on the Austin Bruins for first place overall in the North American Hockey League. A combination of two Bulls' victories and two Bruins loses will give Amarillo its second straight overall title.

BULLS NOTES: Forward Mike Davis leads the Amarillo Bulls with 11 away goals this year. Davis, who was chosen as the South Division player of the week, collected six goals in a two game sweep of the Wichita Falls Wildcats last weekend. The Bulls have netted 27 goals on the power play away from home with Clint Carlisle leading the way with three. In the penalty minutes department, the Bulls are in fifth place average 21.50 per game. Their opponents this weekend, the IceRays, are third.

The Bulls have yet to lose a game when leading after 40 minutes on the road this season (16-0-1), but by the same token they have yet to post a win when they trail going into the final period (0-5-0).
