Durham, NC - Dustan Mohr's two-run homer in the seventh inning capped an 11-run, 12-hit day for the Bulls as Durham walloped the Ottawa Lynx, 11-3 on Wednesday afternoon at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The win moves the Bulls within one game of the .500 mark on the season.

Trailing 1-0, Durham plated a pair in the second inning on an RBI-groundout by Dustan Mohr and a run scoring single by Raul Casanova to give the Bulls a 2-1 advantage. Justin Ruggiano homered in the bottom of the third inning and then Joel Guzman won himself and a lucky fan a free steak dinner at the Durham Marriott with a blast off the snorting bull in left field, giving the Bulls a 4-1 lead. Durham tacked on three more runs in the fifth inning highlighted by Chris Richard's two-run single, then scored another four in the seventh inning with home runs by Jorge Velandia and Mohr.

RHP Jeff Niemann (4-3) picked up the win pitching five innings and allowing one run on five hits while striking out five. LHP Eude Brito (1-2) took the loss pitching four innings allowing four runs on four hits and a walk.

The Bulls and Lynx finish their series on Thursday night at 7:00 PM at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Tickets are available at www.durhambulls.com or by phone at (919) 956-BULL.
