Amarillo Bulls News Release
AMARILLO TX - Amarillo Bulls Equipment Manager Bernie McDonnell has been a valuable addition to the staff when he arrived in the Texas Panhandle more than two years ago.
The Bulls rewarded McDonnell, a Michigan native, for his hard work and dedication today (Thursday) by naming him Assistant Director of Hockey Operations to go along with his duties of Equipment Manager.
"I spoke to several people about this including our ownership and everyone realizes how much hard work Bernie puts in and how his heart bleeds Amarillo Bulls hockey," said Bulls Head Coach Dennis Williams. "It was an easy decision to move him up into that position. Bernie is a big piece to our puzzle of being successful off the ice. He is more than just an equipment manager to our hockey staff, and overseas all of our team travel and community service events.
"He is very involved in a lot of the decisions that we make, and brings us an outside opinion or fresh voice."
The Amarillo Bulls have one final exhibition game that will take place on Saturday night in Onalaska, Wisconsin against the Coulee Region Chill. Game Time is 7 pm. There is no Fast Hockey for the game, but the Coulee Region Sports Network will provide audio and broadcast coverage. Fans are encouraged to hit www.amarillobulls.com and click on the listen live link.
