Bullfrogs Welcome Back Catcher and Relief Pitcher

Green Bay, Wis.- Catcher, Daniel Jackson, joins relief pitcher, Josh Glick, as the newest returnees to Green Bay. Jackson, a sophomore at Long Beach State University, appeared in 33 games for the Bullfrogs in 2014. Glick, a junior at Nova Southeastern University, was a valuable relief arm for the Bullfrogs last year.

Glick, a 5'11" right-hander, hails from Boca Raton, Florida and attended American Heritage High School. He currently competes for the Nova Southeastern University Sharks in the Sunshine State Conference, one of the most competitive in all of Division II. Before his first stint in a Bullfrogs uniform, Glick was the Sharks closer, and shined with a 2.20 ERA in over 28 innings pitched. He was one of the most reliable pitchers for the 2014 Bullfrogs in the late innings. Glick recorded a team-high 31 appearances, and sported a sterling 2.32 ERA. He struck out 32 batters, and only surrendered 31 hits.

"Compared to the previous summer league I played in, the Northwoods League competition is very high," said Glick. "Every batter you face is a Division I, high quality hitter. The atmosphere at all the games is great."

Also returning is catcher Daniel Jackson from Pleasanton, California where he was an all-league selection at Amador Valley High School. Jackson matriculated to Long Beach State University an institution with baseball alumni that include Jason Giambi, Jered Weaver, and Troy Tulowitzki. In his freshman year at LBSU, Jackson started 11 games in 20 total appearances. At catcher, he only committed two errors. As a member of Green Bay, Jackson shined behind the dish, with a .989 fielding percentage. He also tallied four multi-hit games including a 3 for 4 performance with an RBI and run scored in a 10-8 win over La Crosse on July 25, 2014

"I really liked my host family and the coaches. They helped me grow not only as a player, but as a man," said Jackson of his time in Green Bay. "I enjoyed playing in the Northwoods League because I got to play baseball everyday. They wanted me to come back for another summer and I thought it would be good for me to go again."
