Bullfrogs Seek Series Split in Battle Creek

Battle Creek, Mich. - After the Battle Creek Bombers snapped the Green Bay Bullfrogs five game winning streak on Monday night, the Bullfrogs (28-30, 11-12 Sec. Half) will look to even up the two-game series with the Bombers (25-34, 9-15 Sec. Half) on Tuesday night. Following Tuesday's game, the Bullfrogs will return to Wisconsin to play a home-and-home double-header against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.

On Monday night, Battle Creek took the first game of the series by a score of 3-2, scoring three runs in the first inning. Despite the three early runs, Bullfrogs starting pitcher, Corey Fischer (Madison College) went the distance while taking the loss. Ryan Howell (Chabot) logged the only two RBI of the night for Green Bay with a two RBI single in eighth inning. Former Bullfrog, Luke Heller (Cornerstone) threw seven and one-third innings for the Bombers to pick up the win.

Garrett Harrison (St. Cloud State), who was selected to the Big League Dreams Showcase, will take the mound for the Bullfrogs looking to even up the series with Battle Creek on Tuesday. Harrison, a six-foot-five lefty, has appeared in ten games for Green Bay will all but one appearance being a start. In 45.1 innings of work, Harrison has amassed a 2-3 record with a 4.76 ERA. One of his two wins this season came against Battle Creek on May 28th when he threw six innings and gave up two runs (zero earned) on just three hits while striking out six.

Dillion Engle (Lake County) will start opposite of Harrison for the Bombers on Tuesday. Engle will be making just his second start for Battle Creek, but has appeared in 13 games with them this season. In 20.1 innings, Engle has a 1-1 record with a 4.42 ERA, striking out 15. The five-foot-nine lefty made his last appearance on July 18th when he threw two scoreless innings against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.

First pitch on Tuesday night is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. (CST) from C.O. Brown Stadium in Battle Creek, Michigan.
