Green Bay Rockers News Release

Green Bay, Wis. - With just three games left in the 2014 season, the Green Bay Bullfrogs will take on the Kenosha Kingfish in the final game of their two-game series at Joannes Stadium on Friday night. Following Friday's game the Bullfrogs will wrap up their 2014 season with a home-and-home series against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The final game of the Rafters series will be Green Bay's final home game of the season which will take place on Sunday.

On Thursday night at Joannes Stadium, the Kingfish came back to win their second game of the series against the Bullfrogs, 3-2. Taylor Douglas (UT-Martin) hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning that plated Kenosha's only runs of the game. The home run spoiled a quality start from Bullfrogs' starter, Roberto Baroniel (Nova Southeastern) who threw seven innings and gave up zero earned runs while striking out eleven.

Friday night the Bullfrogs will complete their series against the Kingfish and will start Zac Westcott (Nova Southeastern) on the mound. Westcott will be making just his fourth start of the season on Friday after joining the Bullfrogs in mid-July. The senior, right-hander has a 1-2 record with a 3.09 ERA. In 20.1 innings of work, Westcott has struck out 15 while walking only two. In his last start, Westcott took the loss after throwing seven innings while surrendering only two runs and striking out five against the Kalamazoo Growlers on August 1st.

Rex Morrow (Madison College) will start on the mound opposite of Westcott for the Kingfish on Friday. Morrow has appeared in eleven games this season and will be making his eleventh start of the season. The Burlington, Wisconsin native owns a 2-0 record with a 3.45 ERA. Morrow did throw against the Bullfrogs back on June 20th when he gave up two runs on seven hits in just under five innings of work. In 44.1 innings this season, Morrow has struck out 27 batters while walking 16.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from Joannes Stadium in Green Bay.
