Bullfrogs Fall Late against Chinooks

Wis- The Green Bay Bullfrogs fall to the Lakeshore Chinooks 9-5. The Chinooks would score eight unanswered runs in the last three innings and the Bullfrogs fell to 1-5 in the second half of the season. The losing pitcher tonight for the Bullfrogs was Nick Parr and the winning pitcher for the Lakeshore Chinooks was Byron Hood.
The Bullfrogs would go down first in the game when the Chinooks would plate a run in the second inning but the Frogs would respond with a run of their own in the third when Mikey Filia would score Alonzo Jones tying the game 1-1. The Bullfrogs would then tack on a couple more runs in the fifth and sixth inning, taking a 5-1 lead. Troy Johnston managed a RBI single and Dan Leckie brought in a run in the fifth. In the sixth Mikey Filia managed a RBI single and Troy Johnston grabbed his second RBI single of the game. The Chinooks would respond with a two run shot in the seventh, a grand slam in the eighth and a solo shot in the ninth scoring eight unanswered and winning the game 9-5.
The Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Player of the Game is Mikey Filia, Filia would manage a three hit day and bring in two runs for the Bullfrogs. Filia's stat line on the day: 3-5, 3 H, 1 R, and 2 RBI
The Bullfrogs are back in action tomorrow to take on the Mallards for a two-game home series. Starting tomorrow for the Bullfrogs will be the Kent State lefty Connor Wollersheim.
