Green Bay Rockers News Release
The Bullfrogs staged a two out rally in the 10th defeated the Chinooks 3-1 in extra innings on Thursday to get back to .500 on the season.
Green Bay got on the board first in the second inning, when Duncan McAlpine drove home Justin Seager on an RBI single up the middle. It was McAlpine's first RBI of the season.
Lakeshore tied it up in the bottom of the fourth. German Reyes scored on an infield single by Ryan Krill, making the score 1-1.
The game remained tied at one until the 10th inning. Green Bay staged a two-out rally in the night's only extra frame without the ball leaving the infield.
After Brooks Orton and Mac Acker were retired to begin the inning, Brian Celsi and David Armendariz reached on infield hits. Justin Seager then grounded back to the mound, but Lakeshore pitcher Tyler Sparger bobbled it out of his glove and Seager reached safely to load the bases.
Clayton Eslick followed by hitting a chopper two second base. Herman Reyes went the short way to second, but Seager legged it out and slid in safely. Celsi scored on the play to give the 'Frogs a 2-1 lead. Armendariz came in to score on a Sparger wild pitch to give Green Bay a 3-1 cushion.
Will Landsheft closed the door in the bottom of the 10th, striking out two Chinooks batters to earn his second save of the season.
Taylor Black started the game on the mound for Green Bay. He went five innings and allowed one earned. Alex Abrams and DJ Slaton each pitched two scoreless innings in relief before Landsheft entered for the save.
