
Bulldogs Squash Marlies 4-1

TORONTO, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs scored three unanswered goals to beat the Toronto Marlies 4-1 in an afternoon matchup at Ricoh Coliseum.
Andreas Engqvist opened the scoring at 10:43 in the first period, beating Marlies starting goaltender Ben Scrivens' with a five-hole shot. Engqivst scored his team-leading tenth goal of the season following a series of passes from Aaron Palushaj and Louis Leblanc to give the 'Dogs a 1-0 lead. But the Marlies would retaliate just 32 seconds later when Ryan Hamilton defeated Bulldogs netminder Robert Mayer to tie the game at 1.
At 10:44 in the second period, Scrivens left his net to play the puck. But Philippe Lefebvre passed the puck to Brian Willsie, who took advantage of the open net to score his fifth of the season, making it 2-1 Bulldogs.
Palushaj gave the 'Dogs a 3-1 lead midway through the third period, earning his eighth point in six games and his sixth point in three games. Zach FitzGerald's sniped the puck past Scrivens at with less than three minutes left in the game to give the 'Dogs a 4-1 victory. Hamilton also edged the Marlies in shots 30-20.
