BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. Brantford Bulldogs General Manager Matt Turek today announced the signing of 2023 U18 1st Round, 7th overall selection, defenseman Daniel Chen to an OHL Scholarship & Development Agreement
Chen, a product of Thornhill, Ontario arrives in Brantford coming off a strong U18 AAA season with the Mississauga Rebels. The 6'4", 185lbs blueliner brings a rare combination of size and skating ability that immediately impressed Bulldogs staff at both development camp in the spring and again at the recently concluded training camp.
Chen joins two-time OHL Champion, and Dallas Stars prospect, Gavin White as defensemen to make the Bulldogs out of the OHL U18 Priority Selection Draft at their first training camp.
"Receiving a commitment from Daniel Chen is very exciting." said Bulldogs General Manager Matt Turek. "Daniel has put in the work and earned this opportunity to play in the Ontario Hockey League.
