PEORIA, IL - The Hamilton Bulldogs dropped a 3-2 decision to the Peoria Rivermen on Sunday night at Carver Arena at the Peoria Civic Center. With the loss, the Bulldogs record drops to 21-13-1-1.

The teams exchanged goals in the first period. Peoria opened the scoring on the power play at the 9:14 mark when Trent Whitfield posted his 16th goal of the season. Hamilton responded with a power play goal of its own, courtesy of Duncan Milroy's team-leading 16th goal of the season.

The Rivermen scored two more power-play goals in the second period to jump out to a 3-1 lead. Jon DiSalvatore notched his ninth goal of the season at the 7:34 mark. Then at 12:42, Peter Sejna tallied his 11th goal of the season, giving Peoria a two-goal lead.

Corey Locke scored to pull the Bulldogs within a goal at 14:27 of the middle stanza on the power play. Milroy (1-1-2) and Mathieu Roy (0-2-2) each recorded their second points of the game with assists on the goal.

Despite out-shooting Peoria 11-to-6 in the third frame, Hamilton was unable to even the score and lost its third game in a row.

All five of the game's goals were scored on the power play. The Bulldogs went 2-for-7 while the Rivermen were 3-for-6 with the man-advantage.

Milroy's goal in the first period was his 50th career AHL goal and he tied Jason Chimera for a Franchise record by playing in his 237th career game as a Bulldog.

The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. against the Iowa Stars at Copps Coliseum.
