SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed defenseman John Scott to a contract.
Scott, 24 (9/26/82), has collected one assist and 28 penalty minutes (PIM) in 20 games with the Houston Aeros during his rookie season in the American Hockey League (AHL). The 6-foot-7, 255-pound native of St. Catharines, Ontario played four collegiate seasons at Michigan Tech (WCHA) and recorded 19 points (7-12=19) and 347 PIM's in 126 games.
