Stafford returns, Amerks at Grand Rapids

(Rochester, December 31)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that right-winger Drew Stafford was returned on loan by the Buffalo Sabres. Stafford played in the Sabres' 4-1 win over the Atlanta Thrashers at HSBC Arena.
Stafford has 13 points (7+6) in his last eight games for the Amerks and has 12 goals and 10 assists on the season.
Tonight, The Amerks will play their third game in as many nights against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena. The 7:00 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 Networks.
