Bulldogs Doubled up by Saint John

The Hamilton Bulldogs lost a 4-2 decision to the St. John's Maple Leafs on Saturday night at Mile One Stadium in St. John's. Despite it was the Bulldogs second loss in a row to the Maple Leafs, Hamilton holds a winning record of eight wins and two losses against St. John's this season.

The Bulldogs record now stands at 47 wins, 14 losses, 6 ties and 4 overtime losses. Hamilton continues to lead the AHL with 104 points on the season.

Scoring for the Bulldogs on Saturday were Michael Ryder and Mariusz Czerkawski. The goal scored by Ryder was his 32nd of the season and he now leads all Bulldogs in goals scored this season.

The Maple Leafs had goal contributions from Dwayne Hay, Brad Leeb, Craig Mills and Anders Eriksson.

In goal Ty Conklin made 37 saves for the Bulldogs, while St. John's netminder Jamie Hodson picked up the win by stopping 34 Hamilton shots on the night.

On special teams the Bulldogs were 1 for 2 with the man-advantage. St. John's converted on both of it's power play opportunities.
