BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs welcomed the Youngstown SteelHounds back to town hoping to avenge an early December loss. Joe Ori put the Bugs on the board less than one minute into the game. Ori skated coast to coast up the left wing, cutting towards the front of the net he fed a backhand shot through the five-hole of Youngstown goalie Brad Roberts. Ori did it again only seconds later, this time taking a feed from Daniel Pegoraro to score his second of the game. The Youngstown SteelHounds battled back when Dallas Anderson slipped a rebound past John DeCaro on the powerplay.

Youngstown evened the game 2-2 when Jeff Christian scored a shorthanded goal in the second period. The Bugs reclaimed the lead on a powerplay goal scored by Jason Basile from the left point. Youngstown would even it up before the period expired when Tab Lardner converted on the powerplay.

John DeCaro made several key saves in the third period. Chris Abbott scored the game winning goal on the powerplay, faking a defenseman then driving the net where he beat Brad Roberts through the five hole. Abbott scored one more, an empty net powerplay goal to clinch the 5-3 win.
