Bossier City --- Chris Brassard scored both goals and David Cacciola made 47 saves as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs outlasted the Memphis RiverKings 2-1 in a shoot-out Tuesday night at the CenturyTel Center. Travis Banga scored the only goal for the RiverKings and goalie Michael Dilorenzo, making his first start since February 28, stopped 36 of 37 shots.

The RiverKings gave one of their best efforts of the season, outshooting the Mudbugs 48-38 and having several quality chances, only to have Cacciola turn aside all but one on his way to improving his season record to 5-1-0 versus Memphis.

Banga scored his team-high 32nd of the season to give Memphis the lead at 5:35 of the first period. Brassard evened the score at 16:39 on the power play. Scoreless second, third and overtime periods followed, setting the stage for the shootout.

The Mudbugs were up 3-2 through the first four rounds of the shootout with scores from Milan Vodrazka, Scott Sheppard and Chris Brassard against Memphis' two, scored by Derek Landmesser and Ryan Watson.

Banga was stopped by Cacciola to start the fifth round to clinch the win for Bossier-Shreveport. Brassard's score in the fourth round of the shootout was credited as the game winner.

The shootout loss extended the RiverKings road winless streak to 10 games (0-7-3). They will have another chance to break that string against Bossier-Shreveport on Thursday night at 7:05 in Bossier City.
