BUFFALO, N.Y.-(September 9, 2009) -- The Buffalo Bandits selected five players and made three trades at the 2009 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft on Wednesday at HSBC Arena.

Kyle Clancy (Forward) - 1st round (10th overall) - Peterborough Lakers
The Bandits moved up to take the 10th selection overall in the draft in order to acquire Clancy, dealing their 2nd round selection (19th overall) in the 2009 draft and first round selection in 2011 to the Orlando Titans.
Clancy registered 47 goals and 61 assists for a total of 108 points in 22 games with Peterborough in 2009, finishing second on the team in scoring.
Chris Corbeil (Defense) - 2nd round (15th overall) - Brampton Excelsiors
Corbeil scored 11 points (4+7) in 20 games for the Brampton Excelsiors this season, serving as an assistant captain on the team.
Steve Priolo (Defense) - 2nd round (21st overall) - St. Catharines Athletics
Priolo netted 13 points (3+10) and registered 48 penalty minutes in 21 games with the St. Catharines Athletics.
Zach McIlmoyle (Forward) - 4th round (39th overall) - Peterborough Lakers
McIlmoyle played in 22 games for the Lakers, registering 85 points (43+42) - ranking third on the Lakers, behind Kyle Clancy, in scoring.
Matt Friedman (Defense) - 6th round (60th overall) - Canisius College
Friedman, a Buffalo native, logged 10 ground balls for the Golden Griffins last season.
The Buffalo Bandits made two additional moves during the draft, trading their 3rd round selection (24th overall) to the Washington Stealth for forward Frank Resetarits; and then sent their 40th overall selection to the Philadelphia Wings for forward Jon Harasym.
Resetarits (6-2, 210 lbs), a Buffalo native, has played in 21 games for the Stealth, registering 50 career points. Harasym (5-9, 180 lbs) has played in 50 career NLL games, scoring 22 goals and 56 assists for 78 points.
The seven new faces will have a chance to make their debut when the Bandits open the regular season against the Rochester Knighthawks on January 9 at 8:05 p.m.
