
Buffalo Adds Three To Roster For Season Finale

(BUFFALO, NY)- The Buffalo Destroyers announced today they have signed WR/DB Barry Dillard and FB/LB Eddie Diaz from the practice squad to the active roster. They also activated OL/DL Donovan Arp from injured reserve. All three will be in uniform this weekend in Las Vegas.
Dillard (5-11, 190, Memphis) signed to the Destroyers practice squad on April 25. He appeared in two games earlier this season for the Chicago Rush recording 2.5 tackles. He was signed to the Georgia Force practice squad on March 1 after being out of the Arena Football League since April 2001. Dillard played three seasons with the Portland Forest Dragons (1997-99) and two with the Oklahoma Wranglers (2000-01). His 25 pass breakups in 2000 are seventh best in Arena Football League history.
Diaz (6-0, 260, Villanova) originally signed to the practice squad prior to the season. He was signed to the active squad on March 21 and saw action in four games before going back to the practice squad. He has six tackles and a sack this season.
Arp (6-3, 295, Louisville) signed with the Destroyers on April 3 and played in two games before dislocating his elbow at Orlando. He has three tackles and a sack this season.
The Destroyers also announced they have signed WR/DB Kirby Dar Dar to the practice squad. Dar Dar (5-11, 200, Syracuse) played four seasons for the Miami Dolphins at wide receiver and was one of the top players on the Dolphins special teams. He played running back at Syracuse racking up 1,337 yards and 11 touchdowns in four years. He took a reverse on a kickoff and raced 100 yards for a touchdown for the Orangemen in their 1993 Fiesta Bowl victory over Colorado.
The team has waived QB Chris Sanders and placed WR/DB James Bowden on injured reserve with a left ankle sprain.
The Destroyers finish the 2003 regular season Sunday, May 18 as they travel to the desert to battle the Las Vegas Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. (Eastern) at the Thomas and Mack Center. The game will be televised on the Empire Sports Network and on radio on the Destroyers Radio Network.
