Des Moines Buccaneers News Release
The Buccaneers got off to a quick start for the second night in a row, but a shorthanded and powerplay goal were not enough to hold off the Ice. The Ice scored four goals in the second and three more in the third to win the game, 7-3.
H.T. Lenz and Austin Handley started the scoring late in the first period. Lenz's shorthanded goal and Handley's powerplay goal would put the Bucs up 2-0. But Indiana responded with 6 unanswered goals before Ryan Walters's goal half-way through the third.
Aaron Crandall took the loss for the Bucs tonight; stopping 19 of 25 shots on goal. The Buccaneers get a rematch against the Ice on Wednesday night. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
