Bucs Announce Preseason Schedule

Des Moines Buccaneers News Release
Before the 2023-24 regular season gets underway, the Des Moines Buccaneers will play four preseason contests, one on home ice at Buccaneer Arena.
Des Moines will travel to Omaha for the Lancer Bowl on Sept. 8 and 9 and face off with Western Conference opponents, Sioux City and Sioux Falls. On Sept. 8 at 10:00 a.m. the Buccaneers will be the away team, taking on Sioux City. On Sept. 9, Des Moines will be the home squad against Sioux Falls for a 12:00 p.m. start. Tickets will be sold for the road games in Omaha with single-game tickets or weekend passes available.
The Buccaneers will square up with the Waterloo Black Hawks for a two-game weekend on Sept. 15 and 16, at Young Arena in Waterloo on the 15th at 6:00 p.m. and at home at Buccaneer Arena on Sept. 16 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets for Waterloo's home game are $10 for any seat.
Des Moines' home game is open for fans to attend, with season ticketholders receiving free admission to the preseason game at Buccaneer Arena. Admission for all other fans will be three (3) non-perishable food items that will be donated to a local food pantry.

Saturday, Sept. 9 at 12:00 p.m. | Des Moines vs. Sioux Falls, at Omaha (Liberty First Credit Union Arena)
Friday, Sept. 15 at 6:00 p.m. | Des Moines at Waterloo, at Young Arena
Saturday, Sept. 16 at 3:00 p.m. | Des Moines vs. Waterloo, at Buccaneer Arena
Video streams will be available for preseason games in Waterloo and Des Moines using FloHockey subscriptions renewed for the 2023-24 season.
The regular season begins at the USHL Fall Classic in Cranberry Twp., Pennsylvania with the Buccaneers taking on the Madison Capitols on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. CT and the Fargo Force on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
The Buccaneers home opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 20 at 6:00 p.m. at Buccaneer Arena on Hickman Rd. in Urbandale. Single-game tickets will be on sale September 1. Season tickets are available now at the Box Office or by calling 515-278-2827, as well as online at tickets.bucshockey.com.
