Laredo Bucks News Release
(12/17/02) The Laredo Bucks play their last two games before Christmas this Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Both games feature first-time opponents for the Bucks. On Friday, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs make their first visit to Laredo. On Saturday, the defending CHL champion Memphis RiverKings come to town.
The Bucks got an early Christmas gift Monday with the return of top scorer Eric Schneider from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. In four games with the Rampage, Schneider produced one goal and 12 penalty minutes. At the time of his call-up to San Antonio December 9, Schneider was leading the Central Hockey League with 38 points in 19 games.
The Bucks are in second place with a record of 13-7-4, seven points behind Austin in the CHL's Southeast Division. The Bucks have played 15 of their first 24 games on the road. At the Laredo Entertainment Center, Terry Ruskowski's team has a record of 7-1-1.
âTis the season for holiday parties, and the Bucks will be featured at several pre-Christmas events this week. On Wednesday, Cadillac Bar in Nuevo Laredo hosts the Bucks "Fiesta A La Tamaulipeca" at 7:30pm, featuring a live broadcast on 101.5 FM and 1410 AM in Los Dos Laredo starting at 8:00pm. Head Coach/General Manager Terry Ruskowski, player/assistant Chris Grenville, center Dave Gilmore and defenseman Michel Periard will be among the featured guests. Sunday, meet the Bucks at Cheers Cocktails, 7004 San Dario in Laredo.
