ODESSA, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League travel to take on the Odessa Jackalopes today at the Ector County Coliseum. Game time is 4:05pm.

The Bucks had their two-game winning streak snapped with Saturday's 6-3 home loss to Corpus Christi. Laredo enters today in a third-place tie with Texas in the Southern Conference thanks to the Brahmas loss in Rio Grande Valley Saturday. The Brahmas host Tulsa today at 4pm.

Darryl Smith had a two-point night in Saturday's loss (1-12) tying him for the league lead in goals with 23.

Laredo will play today's game in Odessa with just 14 skaters as Mark O'Leary (lower-body) and Igor Agarunov (upper body) suffered injuries in the Bucks last two games. There is no time table for O'Leary or Agarunov's return.

Pier Pelletier will get the start for Laredo today against the Jackalopes as he looks for his first win with the Bucks. Pelletier is 0-3-1 in Laredo with a 4.20 G.A.A and a.890 sv. %.

The Bucks have played well away from home as of late as they are 3-1 in their last four road games.

Starting this weekend the Bucks will play three games in three nights during each of the next seven weekends. In all, from January 29th-March 14th the Bucks will play 22 games in 44 days (10 home, 9 away).

The Jackalopes had their eight game winning streak snapped Saturday night as they dropped a 6-5 shootout decision to Arizona. Odessa is in the middle of a six-game homestand.
