The Bucks enter Sunday's game on a season-high three game winning streak, with all three wins coming by just one goal each (two in shootouts).
Laredo will play their second of a season-high five-game homestand Sunday. Going back to last season seven of the Bucks last nine home games (including playoffs) have gone to overtime or a shootout, with the Bucks posting a 2-3-2 record (0-3 in playoffs).
J.P Levassuer is expected to start again Sunday, as he improved to 5-0-1 in net this season with Wednesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Killer Bees. During the Bucks three-game winning streak Levassuer has stopped a combined 76 of 83 shots, earning three straight one-goal victories. Levassuer has stopped nine of 10 shootout attempts against him this season.
Jeff Bes picked up an assist in Wednesday's win increasing his team-leading point total to17 (5-1217). Going back to last season Bes has scored a point in 16 of his last 17 regular season games.
The Bees are in the midst of a four-game, five-day road trip that started Wednesday in Laredo. Rio play's at Odessa Friday, at Texas Saturday, before finishing up the road trip Sunday afternoon at the LEC.
Two of the three meetings this season between the Bucks and Bees have gone to a shootout, with Laredo posting a 2-0-1 mark.
**FIESTA NIGHT NOV 20TH* *
On Friday November 20th the Bucks will celebrate Fiesta Night when they host Odessa at 7:30pm. The first 1,000 fans to enter the LEC receive a FREE maraca, courtesy of Taco Palenque. The Bucks will wear special Mexican themed jersey's that will be auctioned off after the game. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825).
**GIVE BLOOD, PLAY HOCKEY NOV 21ST**
On Saturday November 21st Laredo hosts former Buck James Hiebert and the Texas Brahmas at 7:30pm. The Bucks will hold their annual "Give Blood, Play Hockey" blood drive at the LEC from 10am-8pm. Everyone who donates blood will receive TWO FREE TICKETS to an upcoming Bucks game. The Bucks will host a "Best Beef Ribs" tailgate competition starting at 4pm. The winner of the tailgate will receive a special grilling trophy, courtesy of Ed's Trophy's. The Bucks will also host a Car Show Extravaganza outside the LEC.
