Laredo comes into tonight's game winners of two in a row, both in dramatic fashion. After a 5-4 shootout win over Rocky Mountain Wednesday night, the Bucks came back from a 4-0 deficit to beat Mississippi 5-4 in overtime last night.

Adam Rivet scored with 1:51 left in the extra session to complete the comeback. Laredo trailed 4-0 with 10:09 left in the first period, then scored once in the first period, once in the second, two in the third, and the overtime game-winner. John Ceci replaced Dustin Traylen in the first period, and shut down the Riverkings stopping all 26 shots he faced to pick up the win.

With three points last night, Jeff Bes increased his point total to 69 (28-41=69), placing him second in the CHL, one point behind Arizona's Alex Leavitt.

The Bucks hold an eight point lead over Arizona for the top seed in the Southern Conference playoffs, and a 23 point lead in the Southeast Division.

Tulsa enters tonight's game on a season high four-game winning streak, including a 5-4 triumph over Colorado last week.

Last night the Oilers beat Rio Grande Valley 3-2 in a shootout, with Jeff Christian netting the game-winning goal. Jeff Vy Nynatten stopped 28 of 30 Killer Bee shots to beat his old team.

Christian, the reigning CHL MVP, leads the Oilers in scoring with 48 points (14-24=48).

Laredo and Tulsa have only played each other three times, just once at the LEC. This is the first time the Bucks and Oilers have played in Laredo since February 19, 2003 when Laredo topped Tulsa 6-4.

After tonight the Bucks will be off until next weekend when they play Austin in a three-game weekend series, with Friday and Saturday at the Chapparal Ice Arena, and Sunday at the LEC.
