Bucks Bring Brooms, Sweep Larks
July 27, 2021 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Bismarck Larks News Release
The Waterloo Bucks completed a four-game sweep of the Larks on Tuesday night, defeating the Larks 12-5 in a game presented by American Bank Center.
Despite the loss, Ethan Kleinheider made several nice plays at third including a diving stop, robbing Bucks shortstop, Josh Kassevich, of extra bases for the Fetzer Electric Play of The Game. Kleinheider dove to his left and delivered a good throw to first to complete the 5-3 putout. It was one of Kleinheiders best defensive performances of the season.
In the end it was the pitching of the Bucks that proved to be dominant. Cameron Hagan gave Waterloo five innings allowing just two runs while striking out five. Unfortunately, the Larks were unable to solve him the entire night, and were playing catchup after falling behind 7-0 after the first two innings.
It was a bullpen day for the Larks and faces in the Larks bullpen continue to dominate. Kevin Wiseman pitched a scoreless ninth inning and relied on his powerful fastball, hitting 94 on the gun for the Metro-Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch.ÃÂ Wiseman still has yet to allow a run since his first appearance of the season on June 15th.
The Larks embark on a six-game road trip starting on Thursday night in Rochester. Following the road trip, the Larks return for a four game homestand as a part of the home stretch of the season.
All road games are available to listen to for free on Mixlr.com/larksbaseball.
