Bes cut behind the Corpus Christi net then found Grenville alone in front for an easy tap in goal at 4:04. It was the fourth straight game with a lamp for Grenville, his eighth goal in those four games, and his team leading 34th.

In the second Grenville returned the favor as he fed the puck to Bes cutting down the right wing for a snap shot low glove side into the net to make it 2-0 Laredo at 9:00. It was the 26th of the year for Bes. The Rayz got back in the game when defenseman Tim Laurila fired home a slap shot from the top of the right circle at 10:33.

In the third the Rayz tied it on a power play as defenseman Todd Paul scored on a rebound at 6:23. The score remained tied and the game headed to overtime.

In sudden death the Bucks got some late pressure in the Corpus zone with less than a minute to go in overtime. Defenseman Phillippe Lauze had his shot stopped, but Bes was there to slide in the rebound for his second of the game and the game winner. FINAL SCORE Laredo 3, Corpus Christi 2 in sudden death.

Dov Grumet-Morris stopped 25 of 27 shots to record the win and improve to 18-5-2. Scott Reid allowed three goals on 40 shots and fell to 15-18-4. The Bucks were 0-4 on the power play while Corpus Christi went 1-8. The Bucks out shot the Rayz 40-27.
