The Brahmas took the early lead in the first period on a two-on-one rush. Forward Mike O'Sullivan cut down the left wing and sent a pass across to forward Beau McLaughlin who went top shelf with a wrist shot from the left circle into the net at 6:06 to make it 1-0 Fort Worth.
In the second period Laredo tied the game right away. Forward Steve Simoes blasted a slap shot from the slot into the top corner of the net just 18 seconds into the frame to tie the game up with his eighth of the year. Late in the period the Bucks went on a power play looking to take the lead. Forward Jeff Bes hit the post with a shot from the right circle. The puck deflected to the left corner where defenseman Phillipe Lauze grabbed it, cut to the bottom of the left circle and fired a shot thru a screen in front and into the net for a 2-1 Bucks lead. The goal was the fourth for Lauze.
Early in the third period the Bucks extended their lead. Forward Brent Cullaton fed a rink wide pass up the left wing for forward Ladislav Kouba. Kouba took the pass in stride and then beat Brahmas goalie Larry Stirling with a blast from just inside the blue line to make it 3-1 Laredo. It was the thirteenth of the year for Kouba. The Brahmas refused to quit as forward Cory Stillman ripped home a slap shot on a power play at 6:57 to cut the Bucks lead to 3-2. The Bucks once again extended their lead to two goals as Cullaton hopped on a rebound and stuffed it in at 14:53. It was the sixth of the season for Cullaton. The Brahmas cut the lead to one again as Stillman scored his second of the night at 19:24, but the Bucks held on for the victory. FINAL SCORE Laredo 4, Fort Worth 3.
David Lemanowicz stopped 15 of 18 shots to get the win and improve to 10-2-1. Stirling allowed four goals on 39 shots and fell to 11-16-3. Laredo went 1-6 on the power play, while Fort Worth was 1-3. The Bucks out shot the Brahmas 39-18.
