Idaho Stampede News Release

BOISE, IDAHO (April 19, 2006) - John Brunelle, Idaho Stampede president and general manager since November of 2001, has announced his resignation from that position effective May 1. He will remain involved with the team as part-owner.

Brunelle's decision to discontinue his role in the daily business operation of the Stampede was made over the weekend and disclosed to staff members earlier this week. His successor has been selected and will be announced later this week, according to Brunelle.

"I can take leave of this role knowing that the Stampede is in solid shape financially and has positive momentum heading into the selling season," said Brunelle. "The full-time and game day employee base is stronger than ever, and the transition to playing at Qwest Arena in downtown Boise is complete."

Among Brunelle's chief accomplishments with the Stampede was the creation of the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation, a non-profit entity formed in 2002 to facilitate team involvement in the community. He cited it as a way to "harness the good energy of sports and entertainment to make a more meaningful and lasting impact in the Treasure Valley."

Other highlights and activities in the past four seasons included the successful three-year run of the team at the Idaho Center, the Stampede's appearance in the CBA Championship Game in 2004, and hosting the CBA All-Star Classic in 2006.

"John has been instrumental in the rebirth of the Stampede and we are extremely grateful that he spent four years in the role of GM for this organization," said Managing Partner Bill Ilett. "He is valued for his creative problem solving abilities and outstanding people skills. The investor group is very pleased to have him at the table as he continues his involvement with the Stampede as an owner."
