
Bruins select David Hoda in CHL Import Draft

Chilliwack BC - June 27, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce that they have selected David Hoda 10th overall in the 2007 CHL Import Draft.
Hoda, a left Defenceman from the Czech Republic, is 6'3", 203 pounds, and played last season with Trinac. Appearing in 41games, Hoda scored 5 goals and had 17 assists for 22 points and was also a member of the Czech U-18 team. Hoda is 17 years old, was born on Oct 16, 1989 and is eligible for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The scouting report on David Hoda is that he is a tough aggressive defenceman, with a good shot and a good first pass. "We Think that David can come right in and help the Bruins right away," comments General Manager Darrell May. "We look forward to David coming in and competing hard for the Bruins."
