Chilliwack Bruins News Release
Chilliwack BC - September 17, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce that Nick Holden has been named as the new captain. Holden, a twenty year old defenseman, is in his second season in the WHL and last year posted 8 goals and 23 assists for 31 points. Holden was a big component of last year's success with the Bruins and takes over the captaincy from graduating forward Josh Aspenlind.
"It was clear to us during the second half of last season that Nick Holden would be our captain this year," comments Bruins Head Coach Jim Hiller. "Nick is a well rounded person, respected competitor and has a vision for himself and also for our team."
In addition, forwards Partik Bhungal and Oscar Moller, as well as defenseman Dylan Chapman, have been named assistant captains. "Dylan, Partik and Oscar each bring specific strengths to our team and have earned a tremendous amount of respect from their teammates and coaches." Hiller said.
