Bruins Gather Holiday Donations for Salvation Army

Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins, through their Teddy Bear Toss and Christmas tree gift wish program, were able to gather over 500 donations for the Salvation Army North this holiday season.
Fans were encouraged to take a "wish tag" off the Christmas tree in the Riverside Arena lobby and bring in a gift that fulfills the corresponding wish in exchange for a free bag of chuck-a-pucks. Friday night was the annual "Teddy Bear Toss," and over 500 stuffed animals were launched onto the ice following the Bruins' first goal - which didn't come until the dramatic late stages of the 3rd period in a game against the Minnesota Wilderness.
The Salvation Army location in Austin collected the donations today, just in time for the Christmas season. The Bruins would like to thank their fans for once again coming up with incredible support for another great cause.
