
Bruins Earn 4-1 Win

Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins wrapped up a home series against the Aberdeen Wings this Saturday night. The opening period Jeremy Finger and Matt Hansen set up Austin Nelson making it a 1-0 Bruins lead. The Bruins took a 2-0 lead when CJ Smith added his 10th goal of the season. Assisting on the tally was Trevor Waldoch and AJ Reid. At the first intermission Austin led 2-0 and outshot Aberdeen 10-7. The second period the Bruins took a 3-0 lead as Jeremy Finger set up John Simonson. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 3-0. The Austin Bruins continued to dominate in the third frame. Aberdeen was able to get one past Nick Lehr. The Bruins added one more on the power play Colton Kramer was fed by Jake Flynn and Chris Fischer. Nick Lehr was credited with the Bruins victory as the Bruins prevailed 4-1. The Bruins are on the road next weekend as they will battle the Aberdeen Wings at the Odde Center.
