AUSTIN, MN - The Bruins used powerplay goals to take 1-0 and 2-1 leads but gave up a goal in the final two minutes of regulation and another in the first minute of overtime and dropped a 3-2 decision to the Minot Minotauros Friday night at Riverside Arena.

After a scoreless opening frame, Austin Rueschhoff tapped a Zach Kennedy pass behind Minot goaltender Lucas Murray at 9:00 of the 2nd period for a powerplay goal and 1-0 Austin lead. It took the 'Tauros just 55 seconds to tie the game as Johnny Walker finished a Austin Martinsen feed and beat Bruins netminder Kristofer Karlson.

After 6 strong penalty kills, the Bruins scored their second powerplay goal at 11:30 of the 3rd, when Dawson DiPietro pushed a loose puck across the goal line off a scramble in front of the Minot net. The Bruins held their 2-1 lead until the Minotauros pulled their goaltender and got even. Tyler Jeanson tipped home a Jared Brandt shot at 18:09 to make it 2-2.

It took only 59 seconds for James LaDouce to end the game in the 3 on 3 OT session when he broke in alone on Carlson and roofed a puck over his shoulder. It was Minot's 7th win in a row. The Bruins moved to 5-5-1 and 11 points, 5 behind the division leading Minotauros.

Austin and Minot play again Saturday night at 7:05 at Riverside to wrap up the weekend series.
