Bruins and Blades Make Trade

The Chilliwack Bruins announced today that they have acquired 17 year old forward Jamie Crooks and a conditional draft pick from the Saskatoon Blades in return for 19 year old forward Randy McNaught. Crooks appeared in eight games last season with the Blades scoring once and adding three assists. He's been held off the scoresheet in six games with the Blades this season. Last year, the 5'10 186lb native of Vermillion Alberta led the Alberta Midget Hockey League in scoring with 39 goals and 32 assists in 33 games with the Lloydminster Bobcats. McNaught joined the Bruins in January of 2008 and appeared in 87 games registering eight goals, five assists and 163 minutes in penalties. Crooks is expected to be in the lineup when the Bruins host the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday night.
