Brosseau in the fold

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League have signed RW David Brosseau to a contract for the 2004/05 season. Brosseau joined the ‘Dogs out of retirement in December last season and scored 32 goals in 52 games.

Brosseau has scored 30 or more goals in seven of his eight pro seasons. The former New York Rangers draft pick has 276 career pro goals. He finished his junior career helping Granby to the 1996 Memorial Cup.

"David is a cornerstone player," said RiverDogs General Manager Jeff Croop. "We are looking forward to having David contribute for a full season," he added. "We are working very hard to finish a deal with Francis Belanger," Croop said. "We are looking for a center to complete what will be one of the top lines in the UHL," Croop said.

"I'm very excited to be coming back to finish what we started last year," said Brosseau. "My goal is to win a championship," he added.

The ‘Dogs now have seven players under contract for 2004-'05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, and Brosseau.
