Early round trades highlight draft

PORT HURON, MI- The United Hockey League (UHL) released Friday the results from the 2004 Expansion Draft.

Member Clubs were allowed to protect 12 players and one goaltender from their 2003-04 final rosters. A maximum of six players from any one club could be selected and each team was permitted to protect a previously available player after losing a player in the draft. The draft consisted of 13 rounds with the selection order based upon each member club's entry into the league.
