
Brooklyn Nets Recall Markel Brown and Cory Jefferson from NBA D-League

Brooklyn, NY - The Brooklyn Nets recalled guard Markel Brown and forward Cory Jefferson from the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League, General Manager Billy King announced today.
Brown appeared in one game while on assignment, scoring seven points in eight minutes before exiting the game with a bruised right knee on Jan. 2 at Westchester. Jefferson appeared in two games off the bench, averaging 10.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in 24.5 minutes per game. He recorded 10 points, a team-high 11 rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes on Jan. 2 at Westchester and 11 points, nine rebounds and four blocks on Jan. 3 versus Delaware.
Brown and Jefferson were originally assigned to the D-League on Jan. 1.
