June 7th -Laredo, TX- Laredo Broncos General Manager, Jose Melendez, announced today that the Laredo Broncos will allow fans admission to for free by bringing in a pet item, at Wednesday night's game on June 11th when the Laredo Broncos host the Alexandria Aces. All fans have to do is bring in a pet item such as a leash, dog, cat food, flea shampoo or any other item and they will get in free. Representatives from the Laredo Animal Shelter will be on hand to collect the donations as well as having animals up for adoption.
"I am so happy that we can offer this to the community. I am a dog owner and pet lover and I am so happy we can offer to be able to help out the animal shelter. I know they always have a need for these items". Melendez stated. The night is part of the Laredo Broncos Wednesday night promotions titled "We Give Back Wednesday".
Melendez says that this is an opportunity for fans and pet lovers to help out a good cause. "This is just a way for us to show how much we really are a part of the community of Laredo." The Laredo Broncos will also offering a promotion on Wednesday July 23rd in a joint venture with Doctors Hospital. The promotion on that Wednesday is appropriately titled "Christmas in July", where on that night the admission will be an unwrapped toy which will be distributed at Christmas time to families of cancer patients.
