
Brodin Wins All-Star MVP

NORMAL, ILLINOIS - London first baseman, Joash Brodin capped off an incredible first half tonight, being awarded the MVP Award for the 2012 State Farm All-Star Game.
Brodin collected four hits - two singles, a double and a home run - as the East beat the West 9-6 in Normal, Illinois.
Brodin also chipped in with an RBI and scored two runs.
The night before, Brodin advanced to the second round of the Home Run Derby, swatting five homers in the first round.
Meanwhile, Rippers' pitcher, Jamie Richmond contributed with a perfect 4th inning for the East All-Stars, getting two ground outs and striking out the final batter of the inning.
London catcher, Jim Vahalik went 0-for-2 and pitcher, Yohan Gonzalez gave up a two- run homer to River City's Jeremy Synan in the 5th .
The London Rippers will begin the second half of the year on July 13th in Windy City against the ThunderBolts.
London's first home series starts July 16th against the Southern Illinois Miners, where the team will honour Brodin and the rest of the Rippers all-stars.
