Brockton, MA (May 5, 2009) - The Brockton Rox have announced its 2009 promotional calendar, highlighted by a number of tremendous entertainment acts, new value-packed weekly promotions, and the return of wildly popular Friday Night Fireworks and Sunday Family FUNdays.

The 2009 season kicks off on Thursday, May 28th, with CVS/pharmacy presenting both Thursday and Friday night of the opening weekend festivities. The first 5,000 fans through the gates on Thursday night will receive a free magnet schedule and Friday night will feature the year's first fireworks show.

On Sunday May 31st, renowned performer Dave the Horn Guy, of America's Got Talent fame, will debut in Brockton courtesy of Coca-Cola. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free baseball horn. Other performance acts will follow throughout the season including two additional new performers. High-energy mascot, "Rally" will debut on Saturday, July 11th. On Friday, August 7th, the inflatable "Spitball Gang" brings its wild routines and skits to Campanelli Stadium for the first time.

Marvel comics character, Wolverine* will appear at Campanelli Stadium on Saturday, June 13th when the Rox take on the New Jersey Jackals. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free Wolverine* Marvel Comic.

On Thursday, July 23rd Lukoil presents Gas Relief Night offering fans a chance to reclaim some of their hard-earned dollars scheduled for taxation in current legislation. The first 1,000 fans will receive a whoopee cushion, and Lukoil will provide a number of fans with gift cards for free gasoline. All Grandstand seats on July 23rd will cost just 25-cents; the total of the highest propose gas tax increase.

Other giveaways on the 2009 schedule include National Grid baseballs (June 12), cowbells on Saturday Night Live Night (June 27), baseball cards (June 28), Rox All-Time Team Posters (July 12), psychic baseballs on Paranormal Night (August 28), and the Made-Off-With-My-Money Bank (Sept. 5).

Mayflower Brewing Company will present "Thirsty Thursdays" all summer long. Fans throughout the park on Thursdays can enjoy Mayflower's Golden Ale for just $2.

Friday night games will conclude with the colorful bursts of the Rox famous Friday Night Fireworks shows. In addition to the seven Friday night shows, the Rox will also have a special fireworks show on the last day of the regular season, Saturday, September 5th.

Sunday Family FUNdays are packed with family-friendly activities in 2009. Kids can play catch on the field before every Sunday home game, and run the bases until their legs give out after the game. In addition to in-game free face painting and balloon twisters, all fans are invited to the field for an autograph session with the entire Rox team at the conclusion of each Sunday game.

Kids Eat Free Mondays returns to the calendar, allowing all kids (12 & younger) a free concessions voucher with the purchase of a Box seat for each Monday night game. Tuesday night home games have been designated, "Two-for-Tuesdays," with select concessions items available at a two-for-one price.
