Brockton Rox News Release
Behind the bat of Saul Bustos and the arm of Brian Buchanon, Brockton rocked the Bangor Lumberjacks for a 7-1 final.
Bustos ended with four hits in five at-bats, driving in two on the night for the Rox. Buchanon tossed seven strong innings, allowing only one earned run on four hits, striking out eight and picking up the victory for Brockton. Craig Lewis also had a big night at the plate for the Rox, going 2-for-4 including a second-inning home run that put Bangor down 1-0 early.
Most of the damage was done in the sixth, however, when the Rox put four on the board and batted around the order. Jake Whitesides was the bright spot for the âJacks, netting three hits in four at-bats, including two doubles- Bangor's only extra base hits of the night.
