NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, have signed winger Josh Brittain for the 2016-17 season.
Brittain, 26, comes to the Ads with 211 games of league experience, along with 119 American Hockey League tilts.
"Josh returning to Norfolk really benefits us because he knows the organization and the community," coach Rod Aldoff said of the newest addition. "His wealth of experience just comes as that much of a bonus and I'm looking for him to have a career year on the score sheet."
Selected in the third round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Anaheim Ducks, the 6'5", 227 lbs., left-handed shot, originally hails from Milton, Ontario. Last season he spent his playing time with the Indy Fuel and Rockford IceHogs (AHL).
"Because of his experience, I want him to be a leader on and off the ice. I know he's really looking forward to being an Admiral once again and I definitely second that sentiment," Aldoff concluded with.
The Admirals begin the 2016-17 season on Friday, October 14th against the Kalamazoo Wings at the Norfolk Scope.
