Winston-Salem Polar Twins News Release

Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Winston-Salem Polar Twins are looking to brighten the lives of children this holiday season. This Wednesday, several of the team’s players along with Pawz the mascot will visit Brenner’s Childrens Hospital at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to spend time with children and their families. The players and Pawz will sign autographs and give away tickets in the hopes of making the tough times they are facing a little more bearable.

“We want to show our support of Brenner’s Childrens Hospital and hopefully put smiles on the faces of the children the hospital is helping,” said Polar Twins’ Assistant General Manager Darren Moore. “Our players also enjoy being a part of their community and being able to make things a little easier for these children. It is their way of showing that they don’t take anything they have been blessed with for granted.”

The Polar Twins return to LJVM Coliseum Annex on Thursday, December 9 to take on the Knoxville Ice Bears at 7:30 p.m. Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game to donate to FOX8’s Gifts for Kids will receive $2 off the regular ticket price. Group tickets can be purchased through the Polar Twins office by calling (336) 724-1011.
