Brandon, MB. - A Power Smart hockey fan from Killarney will be attending the Championship game at the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup thanks to Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware.

Keith McIntyre has been named winner of the "Bring Home the Cup Contest". Western Manitoba hockey fans were encouraged during the month of April to purchase Energy Star products at Home Hardware stores including Motion Sensor Security Lights, Solar Light Pathway Markers and LED Emergency Lights.

For winning the contest, Keith receives two tickets to the Championship Final, to be played Sunday, May 23rd at Westman Place, a two night stay at a Brandon hotel and $200 in spending money.

"Manitoba Hydro has a long history of supporting community events and the 2010 Memorial Cup is no exception. By partnering with Manitoba's Home Hardware dealers on this exciting offer, Manitoba Hydro had the opportunity to further promote Power Smart - its brand name for energy efficiency," says Sheila Shadlock of Manitoba Hydro.

More than 350 products have been rated as Energy Star items because they use less energy, save money, and help protect the environment.
