August 22, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Kansas City Brigade News Release
The Kansas City Brigade in cooperation with Sports Radio 810 WHB is holding a date night with quarterback Chris Sanders for the sneak preview of "Invincible", starring Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear. It is the true story of Vince Papale (Wahlberg), a Philadelphia substitute teacher and bartender who made the 1976 Eagles squad coached by Dick Vermeil (Kinnear) in an open tryout. Sanders appears in the movie as New York Giants quarterback Craig Morton.
Sanders will call in to the Border Patrol with Steven St. John & Bob Fescoe at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23 and ask women to hit the Chris Sanders icon on the border patrol web page at http://www.810whb.com/shows/default.asp?id=bp. When a contestant clicks the icon a picture and bio of Sanders will appear. The contestant can then explain why she deserves a date with Sanders, as well as entering her name, age and phone number. The contest is limited to only women age 18 years and older.
The Border Patrol and Sanders will pick a winner on Tuesday, August 29 and the lucky lady and Sanders will go out the following night for dinner at the 810 Zone and a viewing of "Invincible" at the AMC Town Center Plaza.
