Bridgeport Walks off with Win

(Bridgeport, Conn. - June 20, 2013) - The Bridgeport Bluefish defeated the Sugar Land Skeeters 4-3 in Thursday night's game at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

Bridgeport got a quality start from Miguel Martinez. He went six innings, gave up three runs on five hits and struck out a season best seven batters.

The win for Bridgeport went to Jeff Fulchino (1-0). He shut down the Skeeters in the tenth inning giving up a hit and fanning one.

With two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning; James Simmons roped his only hit of the ball game into the left field corner for a double. That set the stage for Luis Rodriguez.

Rodriguez who already had two hits and a run batted in came to the plate. After seeing a few pitches, Luis chopped a ground ball up the middle past Sugar Land's shortstop that brought the game winning run home
